Savusavu is serviced daily by the domestic carriers, a 50 minute flight from Nadi and 40 minutes from Suva.

Bligh Water Shipping's MV Suilven & MV Westerland service the port on a regular basis. Air-conditioned comfort aboard the Inter-Island ferry takes 10 hours from Suva or Lautoka (Nadi) - check the link below. Bus services operate between Savusavu and Labasa. This is a great way to travel, inexpensive, a unique 'Fiji Experience' lots of smiling, talking and waving!


Car Hire services are also available. A valid driving license is required. Traffic moves on the left in Fiji. While some main roads in the Savusavu area are paved, some roads outside the town frequently are not. Keep an eye out for animals straying on to the road, and please slow down in the villages (limit 60kph). The open highway speed limit is 80kph. Service stations are mostly located in the towns, so it is wise to fill the tank before you leave your home-base!
